We pulled the kids out of school early on Friday so we could beat all the crowds to family day at the Stock Show ( a fancy name for city fair). Admission, rides, and food were $1 a pop so our money went a long way. It was fun to experience another Texas tradition.

Valentines Day
We enjoy showering our family with love and surprises on Valentines Day. JJ really got into the spirit this year. She made handmade cards for her Grandparents, Great Grandparents, and Sisters. They were full of cute cut outs, springy hearts, and peek-abo-windows. Her artistic ability and creativity continues to blossom and impress us all.
Biddy made a cute handprint card for us at pre-school. They had so much fun that she fell asleep right on the floor when she got home from school.
I surprised the girls with new colorful nail polish and nail stickers. Burke got each girl their own life-size balloon and it was a big hit. He spoiled me with a box of Godiva chocolate and I could not have been happier.
The crowning event was a special surprise from Grandma and Papa that I picked up from our local bakery earlier that day. The girls were so excited and even more amazed that Grandma and Papa could send real cookies all the way from Utah!!!
For dinner that night I made chicken cordon bleu and we had hand dipped (by me and Susanna) strawberries for dessert. It is wonderful to be part of a family that loves each other so much.
