We were lucky to have a long weekend with Burke to celebrate the Independence of our Nation. Our original plan was to head up to NH and camp with our friends on a lake with swimming, fireworks etc. The weather was so horrible all week that our friends canceled their trip and we had to come up with another plan. When the sun was unexpectedly shinning Friday morning we threw the kids in the car and headed to the Zoo. The girls loved it.
On Saturday the Sunshine decided to come out again so we were able to have a BBQ with our friends. The girls got to have sparklers for the very first time. They were a little scared but both of them decided that it was fun once it was over.
It was a lovely relaxing weekend and a much needed break from the constant rain and cold temperatures. I think Summer is finnaly here!!
