4th of July Traditions

The Granite Days Parade is our favorite Johnson Family tradition.  We have missed it the last four years so it was a big reason for us being in UT on the 4th of July.  The girls were so excited to ride in the parade with their cousins. Before we left home we shopped the local second hand store for red white and blue outfits for them to wear in the parade.  We even made a special outfit for Jennie. They decorated their visors and crowns on the drive.

The parade did not disappointment. They had fun throwing candy, waving to the crowds and hanging out with their cousins.  IMG_3032

Nellie continued another family tradition by wearing the same 4th of July dress as all her sisters.  She looked just as cute in it as they all did.

After the parade we went swimming at the Young’s and had a traditional 4th of July brunch starring Grandma’s home made biscuits and gravy.  Yum!!

That evening the fun continued with the Craven Family.  We joined in their new tradition of watching the Stadium of Fire fireworks from the parking lot at Uncle Morgan’s law office.   The show was spectacular and well worth the late night.

I love the last three pictures. Your girls are in such fun red, white and blue outfits. Your mom and dad look wonderful with their grandchildren. I love that you have 4 girls and Jennie has 4 boys. What a fun family dynamic! The whole family looks WONDERFUL! I'm glad you got to be with family for the 4th.
