Pictures At the Park

A few days before we left we took the girls to their favorite park in UT one last time. I took the camera so we could "practice" smiling for our family photo shoot later that evening with Uncle Daniel. I was so suprised when they turned out cute so I had to post them!!!

Craven Family Vacation

I love spending time with my family. We always have great "Adventures"( that is what we call a serious run of bad luck on vacation). We always make lots of "memories" (not all of them good).Very memorable was our trip to Zions a few summers ago where 90% of us contracted the stomach flu. Or the latest St. George trip where it rained EVERY day(luckily we weren't there for that one so they can't blame all the bad luck on us). Well if you combine those two then you get a pretty good idea of what this family vacation was like. (Corinne going to the ER with a Gall Bladder Attack, Rain every day and Jennah throwing up SIX times Sunday night). Fortunately we only took pictures when the sun was shining and we were all smiling. (I like to leave things on a positive note.)

Picnic in the Mountains

My Sister Jennie and I tried to spend as much time together as we could while I was visiting. She is truly my best friend and we have so much fun. It seemed like every other day we were getting together if only to just keep each other company as we chased the kids and folded our laundry. Once Burke arrived we thought it might be a good idea to mix it up a bit so we decided to head up to the Mountains for a picnic. With Burke coordinating the logistics and providing an extra pair of hands it proved to be a wonderful afternoon.

Myles is on a no picture kick. This is what he does every time he sees a camera. He is sooo funny!

MMM Look'n Good

I had to take a picture of the first Camp Fire Hot Dog of the Season.
Oh it just makes my mouth water!!!!

Attack of the Marshmellow!!

Mom it has still got me!!!

Now here's a boy who knows how to tame a marshmallow

What could be better then a bottle in a camp chair?

Thunder clouds rolled in after lunch so the kids spent the rest of our mountain picnic in the van watching cartoons on the DVD player. We braved the rain to clean up and then hit the road.

All the way home we sang one of my favorite songs
"I love the mountains
I love the rolling hills
I love the fountains
I love the daffodils
I love the fireside when the lights are low
Boomdiada Boomdiada Boomdiada Boomdiay
Boomdiada Boomdiada Boomdiada Boomdiay
Boom, Boom, Boom"

The Cabin

One of our favorite places to visit in UT is The Cabin. Surrounded by pines and aspen trees the Cabin is a wonderful place to get away from the world for a day. The Grand kids love to explore, boat in the pond and take walks through the "neighborhood". We love that it is located in Heber, only a little over an hour from my parent's house, so it makes for an easy day trip. We met the Pferdner Family and Kathleen and Jim there on the Saturday after Burke flew in. For some good old fashioned fun.

All of our girls have been lucky enough to go to the cabin when they were babies.
Here are some "nostalgic" pictures of Jennah practicing her crawling at the cabin and Liddy practicing her crawling in the exact same spot.
