First Week in Texas

Happy Fourth of July

We landed in TX Sunday Afternoon and after a quick stop at the Walmart we headed to our new house.  It was so wonderful to be home despite the emptiness of our abode.  We set up house with one air mattress, a queen memory foam topper,  a set of queen sheets, one blanket, two pink sleeping bags, pillows and our luggage.   It was cool that night so I sat on our new patio and watched the fire work shows.  It felt right to start our new life in Texas with a bang.

There was a lot of excitement in the air when our stuff came on Tuesday.  J..h found her scooter right off and put our driveway to the test.

Until we got all the toys unpacked the girls had to find other forms of entertainment.  They mastered the art of tape balancing with amazing speed and dexterity.

Burke and I have learned how to unpack fast and within 72 hours the boxes were empty our cars were parked in the garage and my pictures were going up.  It was such a great feeling.

Our first Sunday was exciting but a little nerve racking.   I was so grateful to walk into a large friendly ward.  With all the girls settled in their respective classes and Burke sitting beside me in Sunday School holding my hand I couldn’t stop smiling! I was a good first week in Texas.
