April showers bring May Flowers (and babies)
April has arrived in Boston with snow and rain. We
sure hope the famous saying is true. We are ready for
beautiful May weather. As of today I am exactly 36
weeks. According to my doctor I "could deliver any
day now" Ha Ha. I think I'll be on time if not late.
This baby is very content. She is 6 lbs. and growing.
Everything is set for her arrival. The cradle and
changing table are in our bedroom and all her cute
little clothes are washed, pressed, and organized.
I have to keep myself busy. Jennah is so independent
and takes such good naps I have lots of free time.
She got a table and chair set for her playroom and
spends hours sitting at her table coloring, reading
and drawing "horsies" (indistinct scribbles). She
loves to give the baby(my belly) hugs and kisses and
is practicing with her bunny to help me out. She
washes bunny's face and arms, changes bunny's diaper
and wraps her in a blanket to go to bed in her crib.
It is so funny when she changes her diaper. She says
"bunny stinky" and runs and gets a wet wipe and the
diaper cream from her room. She then pulls bunny's
dress up over her head and puts her legs spread eagle.
She says "yucky poop" and wipes between her legs (
bunny does not have a real diaper) She then pretends
to put cream, she calls it "soap" on the bunny's
bottom. Then she puts her legs back pulls down her
dress pats her and says "all clean." It is hysterical!
We can't believe what a big girl she is!
Burke is still enjoying work and is making a
difference. He received the the civilian employee of
the quarter award. I am so proud of him and he wil be
honored at the quarterly award banquet held at the
club. It will also look great on his Grad school
applications. He is studying hard for the GMAT and
takes the test on April 21. Please keep him in your
prayers!! Weeblos keeps him busy but he likes his boys
and they do lots of fun activities this time of year.
He helps me out so much. He is the official vacuumer,
dishwasher, and even takes over making dinner when I
am tired of standing on the hard floor. He should also
get the husband of the quarter award.
We had a great experience with our first conference
outside of Utah. Technology is so great! We were able
to listen to three of the sessions through the
Internet and also attend the Sunday morning session at
the Church. We are so grateful for the gospel and how
it unites us all no matter where we live or what we
are going through in our lives. We thought of Ashley
on her mission and everyone at home and knew we are
all sitting together listening to the prophets voice.
It was great. We will be thinking of you on Easter
Sunday as well. We are hoping to have dinner with
some other families from the ward and do Easter Egg
coloring with Jennah. We love all of you and miss you
tons. Enjoy the pictures and Happy Easter!
