September 2006

Written September 6, 2006

Well we can't believe that summer is coming to a
close. You know fall is on its way when you have
pumpkin pecan ice cream at the Arlington Town Days
festival. But before summer winds down we intend to
have some fun! Earlier in the month we went to the
Cape to see Great Uncle Bob. We had a blast playing
on the beach and shopping in Harwich. As a joke Burke
buried Jennah in the sand. She thought it was so fun
that Burke ended up burying her a dozen times. Over
labor day weekend my sister Jennie and her husband
Morgan and their 10 month old Dashiel came to see us.
We did so much fun stuff. It was hard to just select
a few pictures. I think the highlights where our trip
to Plymouth to see where our ancestors John Howland,
Elizabeth Tilly and Miles Standish stepped foot in
America, eating the most amazing fresh raspberry
rhubarb pie that we got at a road side fruit stand,
cramming ourselves into Pizzeria Regina to enjoy a
slice of Bostons most famous North End pizza, playing
in Bostons Commons frog pond with the kids, and
admiring Boston's Back Bay architecture. The boys went
to the the Red Sox vs. White Sox game at Fenway and
said it was awesome. The kids where so good and
learned to sleep really well in the van. It was a
weekend we'll never forget. Now we get to look
forward to Mom and Dad Craven visiting in the end of
September fall leaves, the ward clam bake and more
pumpkin pecan ice cream! We love you all and miss you
like crazy!!! Till next time....
